Case Study 001 · Independent concept

Turning a bulk order intoa clear working system.

I designed and developed a browser-based business-orders prototype that connects product discovery, customization, sizing, estimates, quote intake, and internal follow-up in one focused experience.

Independent portfolio concept by Upward Digital Studio. Not commissioned, approved, or endorsed by TravisMathew. This is not a live ordering channel.

The actual tool

Explore the working prototype.

Use the builder, upload a test logo, add sample sizing data, submit a demo quote, and watch it appear inside the local lead tracker. Refreshing the page clears the session.

01 / THE CHALLENGE

Bulk orders carry more decisions than a normal product page.

A business buyer has to choose apparel, estimate quantity, place a logo, coordinate sizes, understand timing, and request a quote. If those steps live across disconnected conversations, the customer and the sales team both do extra work.

02 / THE RESPONSE

Make the website assemble the sales-ready brief.

The prototype turns each customer decision into structured context. By the time a quote is requested, the internal team can see the intended product, approximate value, customization, use case, timing, and next action in one place.

What was built

One experience across the customer and internal workflow.

01

Interactive apparel builder

Select a product, quantity, use case, customization method, and placement in one guided flow.

02

Browser-local logo preview

Upload a logo, resize it, and move it across the garment preview without sending the file anywhere.

03

Illustrative estimate logic

The interface updates a sample total as product, quantity, and customization choices change.

04

Employee size intake

Teams can add individual sizing details manually or import a CSV into the local browser session.

05

Quote-to-lead handoff

A completed quote request becomes a demo lead inside the prototype CRM instead of disappearing into a form.

06

Operational guardrails

The experience separates visualization from approval, with clear boundaries around price, timing, inventory, and fulfillment.

The conversion path

Every step prepares the next one.

The interface is not just a visual product mockup. It is a connected path from exploration to a review-ready business lead.

  1. 01Choose the apparel
  2. 02Build the order brief
  3. 03Collect team sizes
  4. 04Request a quote
  5. 05Create a review-ready lead

Prototype boundaries

A convincing concept still needs honest guardrails.

The tool shows how the experience could work. It does not pretend that operational approvals or production integrations already exist.

WORKS NOW
  • Interactive selection and estimate logic
  • Browser-local logo and sizing workflows
  • Demo quote intake and lead management
  • Responsive, keyboard-aware interface behavior
NEEDS PRODUCTION APPROVAL
  • Brand, product, inventory, and pricing data
  • Decoration, proofing, and fulfillment rules
  • Secure CRM, email, and account integrations
  • Attribution, returns, analytics, and governance

The outcome

A review-ready product idea—not a vague presentation.

The final deliverable was a working prototype and a documented implementation path. It made the business idea testable before anyone committed to production systems, policy decisions, or a full build.

This is the kind of role a focused website or custom tool can play: not simply presenting information, but organizing the decisions that move a customer and a team forward.
